Princess Program applications close january 7, 2018

That's right! Only two months remain until applications for the 2018 500 Festival Princess Program close.

Each year, the 500 Festival selects 33 academically driven and community minded college-aged women to serve as ambassadors of the 500 Festival, their hometowns, and their colleges and universities. Princess take the month of May celebration and deliver it across the state! These Princesses receive once-in-a-lifetime experiences and become part of a select group of about 2,000 Princess alumnae over the last 60 years. They experience events like the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, the IPL 500 Festival Parade, and the KeyBank 500 Festival Snakepit Ball, all before the race day celebrations of the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Princess Program also includes incredibly valuable community outreach experiences. In 2017, Princesses planned and attended over 300 outreach events!

Another highlight of the program is the wide variety of learning opportunities with the Leadership Development Program, presented by BKD. Princesses will hear from business and community leaders throughout the spring on various topics. They will also be paired with a 500 Festival board member; one of the most life-changing mentoring experiences for some of our state's brightest young professionals.

The most fun part? Each Princesses adopts 32 best friends to share in these experiences.
