Registration Now Open for the 2019 Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run

INDIANAPOLIS (March 13, 2019) – The 500 Festival, a nonprofit organization providing life-enriching events and programs that celebrate the spirit and legacy of the Indianapolis 500®, today announces that registration is now open for the 2019 Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run, which will take place on Saturday, May 11 from 12:30-3:30 pm in downtown Indianapolis.

All kids, ages 3-10, are invited to participate in the Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run, a non-competitive fun run, which is in its 25th year. Now through May 8, you can pre-register for $8, which includes a commemorative t-shirt. Or, you can register on-site on the day of the event for $5 and shirts will be available to purchase separately for $5, while supplies last. Part of Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Kids’ Day, the Rookie Run is a great way to introduce kids to the basics of running and enjoy the excitement of a race – including the start and finish line production, a massive cheering section, a trip through runner’s service and the occasional celebrity sighting!

“As we look toward spring in Indianapolis, we’re excited for another season of enriching events and programs,” said 500 Festival president and CEO Bob Bryant. “The Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run demonstrates our efforts to improve the physical, mental, and social health of Indiana youth and is a great way for families to discover how much fun fitness can be.”

The Salesforce & JPMorgan Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run takes place in downtown Indianapolis, one block north of Monument Circle at Ohio and Meridian streets. Run distances are set based upon a child’s age and all participants will receive a goodie bag, a participant bib with the number 1, and a finisher’s medal – just like the Indy Mini participants!
