Fifteen Marching Bands Selected to Perform in the 2024 AES 500 Festival Parade

INDIANAPOLIS (April 25, 2024) – The 500 Festival announces today the star-studded lineup of marching bands for the highly anticipated AES 500 Festival Parade, taking place on May 25, in downtown Indianapolis.  

Fifteen talented and musically acclaimed marching bands from across the U.S. will perform in this 68th annual event, creating a lively mix of music, vibrant colors, and unforgettable excitement and celebration. This year’s parade is lining up to be a can’t miss event for music enthusiasts and festival-goers alike.

Performing in the AES 500 Festival Parade is an iconic moment in Indy that band members will never forget. As one of the nation’s largest, most-respected parades, this celebration will feature larger-than-life floats, giant ballons, celebrities, and all 33 drivers competing in the Indy 500. These 15 bands will perform for over 200,000 spectators that line the 1.5-mile route.

The Parade will be available to the Indianapolis market on WTHR, Channel 13 and nationally on Peacock.
