500 Festival Welcomes New President & CEO Committed to Expanding Community Impact

INDIANAPOLIS (December 15, 2025) – The 500 Festival has appointed Dave Neff as its new President and CEO, marking an exciting milestone for the organization as it continues to elevate its programs and events that positively impact communities across Indiana and celebrate the Indianapolis 500.

Neff will officially begin his role on January 1, 2026, guiding the nonprofit organization that produces more than 30 events and programs for over 500,000 participants annually. In this role, he will oversee the senior leadership team responsible for advancing the organization’s strategy, partnership growth, operational excellence, and community engagement initiatives.

Neff most recently served as the CEO of the Boilermaker Alliance, Purdue University’s exclusive NIL (Name, Image & Likeness), where he empowered student-athletes to become champions in their sport and in their communities. His career spans the private and philanthropic sectors, having held leadership roles at Pacers Sports & Entertainment, ExactTarget (Salesforce), EDGE Mentoring (Co-Founder & CEO) and Prolific. He serves on numerous boards, including the 2026 NCAA Men’s Final Four Local Organizing Committee Leadership.

Passionate about the city of Indianapolis and giving back, Neff brings a background rooted in collaborative leadership and mission-centered service and will guide the 500 Festival into its next phase of strategic growth. His dedication to uplifting the community aligns closely with the 500 Festival’s mission to enrich lives, celebrate the spirit of the Indianapolis 500, and create meaningful impact statewide.

“Neff’s leadership and commitment to Indianapolis make him the right leader for this moment,” said Christina Moungey, Board Chair of the 500 Festival. “His experience, passion for community, and strong belief in our mission will drive the 500 Festival forward in many ways.”

“I’m honored to join the 500 Festival and build on its incredible legacy,” said Neff. “The 500 Festival represents the heart of Indianapolis, and I look forward to working with our staff, partners, and community to expand our impact and create experiences that inspire Hoosiers across the state.”

Neff was selected after a comprehensive national search led by Prodigy Search, in coordination with the 500 Festival Board of Directors Search Committee.
