500 Festival Board of Directors 

The 500 Festival Board of Directors, comprised of 33 community leaders, serves as the governing body of the 500 Festival. The board guides the strategic vision of the 500 Festival, and its members act as trustees, representing the organization within the community. Committed to bettering the organization, members serve on various committees that enhance the 500 Festival’s events and programs.

New Festival Board Members 

Laurie Henry-Bradley: Owner/Operator, McDonald’s 

Henry-Bradley oversees six McDonald’s restaurants and is a next-generation franchisee carrying forward her family’s legacy. She leads operational strategy, team development, and guest experience while ensuring her restaurants reflect the values and standards of the McDonald’s brand. Prior to becoming an Owner/Operator, Henry-Bradley grew up in the business, gaining firsthand experience in the hard work, service, and community commitment that continue to shape her leadership today. She is dedicated to supporting her employees, creating pathways for growth, and investing in the communities her restaurants serve. 

Greg Goelzer: Chief Executive Officer, Goelzer Investment Management  

Goelzer guides the firm’s strategic vision, culture, and community engagement. Since joining the company in 1981 and becoming CEO in 2003, he has built a career dedicated to advancing client service and strengthening the firm’s leadership in the financial industry. In addition to his work at Goelzer, Greg has served in multiple leadership capacities with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and remains active in professional organizations including the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Indianapolis. A lifelong Indianapolis resident, he has also held leadership roles with WFYI, Eagle Creek Park Foundation, the Jordan YMCA, and other community organizations, and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of the American Piano Awards. 

Angela Smith Jones: Associate Vice President of State Relations, Indiana University  

Smith Jones serves as the university’s primary liaison to the Indiana General Assembly, the Governor’s Office, and other state agencies. She previously held leadership roles as Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Health & Hospital Corporation and as Deputy Mayor for Economic Development for the City of Indianapolis, where she oversaw workforce development, business growth, and support for minority- and women-owned businesses. Earlier in her career, she served as General Counsel and Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs with the Indy Chamber, advocating for policies that strengthened Indiana’s business and talent pipeline. An Indianapolis native, Smith Jones is a graduate of Miami University and DePaul University College of Law. 

Tadd Miller: Co-Founder & CEO, Milhaus  

Under Miller’s leadership, the national real estate development firm, established in 2009, has delivered more than $4.5 billion in urban multi-family and mixed-use investments, playing a key role in the revitalization of downtown living in cities such as Indianapolis, Kansas City, Cincinnati, and Oklahoma City. Recognized as one of Indiana’s most influential business leaders, Miller has received honors from the Indianapolis Business Journal, the Urban Land Institute, and Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year program. He is a Trustee for the Urban Land Institute and a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council. A graduate of Ball State University, Indiana Wesleyan University, and Indiana University, Miller also holds a master’s degree in aviation safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. 

Doug Talley: Executive Vice President & Chief Banking Officer & Chief Lending Officer, The National Bank of Indianapolis  

As a founding team member, Talley has been with the bank since its inception in 1993, serving in roles ranging from Credit Analyst and Commercial Banker to leading the Private Banking, Nonprofit Services, Commercial Real Estate, and Commercial Banking divisions, overseeing all depository and lending functions. Talley is a graduate of Indiana University, where he earned both his bachelor’s degree and MBA in finance. He serves on the dean’s council at the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis, is a board member of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Indiana Community Business Credit Corporation and is a graduate of the Indiana Leadership Forum. 

Karen Woods: General Counsel & Chief Administrative Officer, First Financial Bank  

Woods oversees the legal, risk, and compliance functions at First Financial Bank. She assumed her current role in 2022 after serving as executive vice president, corporate counsel, and chief risk officer of MainSource Financial Group. With more than 20 years in private practice, most recently as a partner at Krieg DeVault LLP, Woods built a career advising financial institutions and corporate clients, following her early service as a judicial law clerk for the Indiana Court of Appeals. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and both her J.D. and master’s degrees from Indiana University and is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Ohio. Woods also serves on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Bankers Association. 

500 Festival Foundation Board of Directors 

The 500 Festival Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of civic and business leaders committed to supporting the 500 Festival’s mission to enrich lives and have a positive community impact while celebrating the Indy 500. A fully charitable 501(c)3 organization, the 500 Festival Foundation leverages philanthropy to advance the 500 Festival’s mission, with a special focus on bringing education, fitness, and leadership opportunities to Indiana youth.
