Mini-Marathon Participant Shirt
The design for this year’s Mini-Marathon shirt features racing elements of both the Mini-Marathon and the Indianapolis 500. The front features a bird’s eye view of the world-famous oval track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a highlight for participants around mile 6. The vertical design on the back was inspired by an Indianapolis 500 race ticket, which has become a coveted collectible for race fans and spectators over the years. The design displays a large 13.1, representing the number of miles participants complete during the Mini-Marathon. A bold NTT INDYCAR, checkered pattern, and official race title, location, and date are also featured on the back of the shirt.
Mini-Marathon Finisher Medal
The Mini-Marathon medal, fashioned in the form of a race helmet, is a unique and distinctive design, representing the connection between the Mini-Marathon and the iconic Indianapolis 500. Reflected in the face shield of the helmet is the Indianapolis cityscape and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway pagoda, two iconic views that participants see along the route. The medal features the famed Yard of Bricks, a checkered pattern symbolizing the finish line, the total mileage, and the official race name. The enamel’s green matches the color of the Mini-Marathon participant shirt, creating a cohesive and unified design.
Mini-Marathon Participant Hat
This year’s participant hat, available to the first 15,000 who register, features navy blue, red, and white panels, with a bold blue and white checkered swoosh across the bill and both sides. Boldly arching from the front to the top of the hat is the classic 500 Festival logo, accompanied by the OneAmerica Mini-Marathon event name. On the front is the year 2024 placed in a bold, white text.
5K Participant Shirt
This year’s 5K participant shirt design correlates with the distinct elements of the Mini-Marathon shirt. On the front, the shirt showcases the outline of the state of Indiana, accented with a brick pattern that pays homage to the bricks you see in downtown Indianapolis. The back of the shirt draws inspiration from the back of the Mini-Marathon participant shirt, resembling an Indianapolis 500 race ticket. The 5K mileage, 3.1 miles, is represented within the design. A bold NTT INDYCAR, checkered pattern, and official race title, location, and date are also featured on the back of the shirt.
5K Finisher Medal
The 5K medal pays tribute to both Indiana and Indianapolis in its design. The medal incorporates a road map of Indiana and the cityscape of Indianapolis into the state’s outline. Boldly standing out from behind the cityscape is a large “5K,” denoting the race’s mileage. The official race title and date curve along the semi-circle portion of the medal, and the distinctive green and blue branding of the race add a lively touch to this unique medal.
