April 29, 2018
IndyCar driver Graham Rahal will drive the Indy 500 pace car to lead the 2018 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon on May 5. Rahal will be behind the wheel of the blue 2018 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, the official Indy 500 pace car used for race day on May 27.
He'll lead the way when the green flag flies for Waves 2-5 of the Indy Mini, while one of the orange Festival cars (2018 Chevrolet Camaro SS) will serve as the timing vehicle for the full 13.1 miles in front of Wave 1.
The son of 1986 Indianapolis 500 champion Bobby Rahal, Graham is one of the Verizon IndyCar Series' stars. He drives the No. 15 Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. Graham was also the youngest IndyCar driver ever to win a race; a feat he accomplished in his debut in 2008.
If you see the 755 horsepower Corvette ZR1 as it pulls up to lead your wave, be sure to say hi to Graham and wish him good luck at this year's Indy 500.
