The 500 Festival Princesses are going green! Sporting some shamrock style among their sparkling tiaras, a group of the Princesses welcomed the festive weekend by joining Indianapolis’ annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration on Friday, March 16. Before the checkered flags and the red, white and blue that accompanies May's Memorial Day Weekend celebration, the Princesses got a little parade practice in green.
St. Patrick’s Day fanatic, Abby Zielinski, appreciated the value of community during her favorite holiday. Abby has been to the St. Patrick’s Festival Parade in Dublin, Ireland, but she says nothing compares to the passion of celebrating the traditions in her home state. From the greening of the canal to the equally festive celebration, Indy's parade did not disappoint.
All of the Princesses found their tie to the celebration. Princess Laura Hauersperger was feeling like “Lucky Laura,” while Princess Natalie Cole, a graduate of Westfield High School (the Shamrocks), represented her alma mater colors with pride.
The Princesses will make their official parade debut at the IPL 500 Festival Parade on May 26!
