500 Festival Attends Because Kids Count Conference

The 500 Festival is attending the Indiana Youth Institute Because KIDS COUNT® Conference at the Indiana Convention Center on Tuesday, November 28. Both the 500 Festival & Indianapolis 500 Education Program, presented by Indiana University Health and the 500 Festival KidsFit Program will have a visible presence at the conference as the 500 Festival promotes the education and youth fitness initiatives; two of the key programs in which the nonprofit gives back to the community. These programs reach a significant number of Indiana youth across the state each year. The KidsFit Program creates an excitement for running in thousands of elementary students while the Education Program teaches more than 26,000 fourth grade students about racing and the history of the Indianapolis 500 and 500 Festival in Indiana.
The 2017 Because KIDS COUNT® Conference marks the 16th year Indiana Youth Institute has hosted the largest gathering of educators in the Midwest. The two-day conference features workshops and keynote speakers, as well as the opportunity for educators to make valuable connections.
