500 Festival Internship Program

The 500 Festival internship program is designed to allow the intern to experience the month of May in Indianapolis in a new and exciting way. The 500 Festival internship program is open to undergraduate students. The spring internships begin in early January and conclude the the first week of June. Select internships may run longer, please see individual descriptions for more details. These dates reflect the fact that all of the heavy event planning occurs during the beginning of the year with all events culminating during the month of May. The 500 Festival believes that all interns and applicants should be treated fairly, without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, veteran’s status, or physical challenge. The 500 Festival will not support any form of harassment or other abusive conduct directed to interns.

The 500 Festival offers the following internships each year:

Fall Internship
Internship period: September - mid December
Application period: June - August

• Marketing (Full-time, $800 per month)

Spring Internships
Internship period: January - late May/early June
Application period: July - October of previous year

• Events (Event Planning)- Full-time, $800 per month
  
• Mini-Marathon (Event Planning)- Full-time, $800 per month
• Parade (Event Planning)- Full-time, $800 per month
• Marketing- Full-time, $800 per month
• Ticketing and Registration- Full-time, $800 per month
• Public Relations- Full-time, $800 per month
• Sponsorship- Part-time, $500 per month for January – April and Full-time, $800 per month May and June
  
• Volunteer/Education Program- Full-time, $800 per month

Summer Internship
Internship period: June - late August
Application period: February 11 - March 22

• Marketing (Full-time, $800 per month)
