Team Challenge Scoring

Each team will consist of a minimum of three and a maximum of five members per team.

All runners’ times will be age graded. Age grading is a handicapping system intended to equalize a running event by compensating for the differences in age and gender. The top three members from each team age graded performances will be added using a cross country scoring system with one(1) point awarded for the fastest age graded time overall, two(2) points for the second fastest age graded time overall, etc. The team with the lowest score wins. In event of a tie, the team with the fastest fourth place finisher will be awarded the place.

Overall Top Team Awards
Customized awards will be sent to the overall top three teams. All team members from placing teams will receive an award. Results will be sent to the team captains one-week after the event. Awards will be delivered once results are official. Teams will be scored on the combined performance of their individual team members. All finishers’ times will be age graded. Age grading, supported and endorsed by the USATF, is a handicapping technique intended to equalize a running competition by compensating for differences due to sex and age. Age grading is supported and endorsed by the USATF. The top three team member performances after age grading will be added. The team with the lowest score wins. In the event of a tie, the team with the fastest total non-age graded time will be awarded the place.
