The 500 Festival, an Indianapolis based not-for-profit corporation, produces nearly 50 annual events and programs, celebrating the Indianapolis 500. Events include the IPL 500 Festival Parade, the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, American Family Insurance 500 Festival Community Day at the Speedway, Chase 500 Festival Kids' Day, and many more.
2009 500 Festival Internship Program
The 500 Festival internship program is only offered during the spring semester of the academic year. The internships begin the first week of January and conclude the last week of May.
These dates reflect the fact that all of the heavy event planning occurs during the beginning of the year with all events culminating during the month of May.
The 500 Festival internship program is designed to allow the intern to experience the month of May in Indianapolis in a new and exciting way.
The 500 Festival believes that all interns and applicants should be treated fairly, without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, veteran’s status, or physical challenge. The 500 Festival will not support any form of harassment or other abusive conduct directed to interns.
